Thread: BF get 3rd Irish Visa!

    Strange responses

My partner is working, and enjoying it too. As I stated before life has become easier for both of us since he started in his job.

My partner is not straight, he is gay. Otherwise I would not have entered into a Civil Partnership with him.

My finances are fine thanks. I pay the bills I have always paid, and would have to pay whether I was living with a partner or not. The costs of bringing my partner to the UK have not been that high, and now he pays his own way, and contributes to the food bills etc.

I somewhat foolishly thought that I was not "telling the world" about my relationship, but sharing my story with an interested group on a forum which was appropriate. Naievely I even thought there might be some support to be found here.

For those who may still be interested, our relationship has required hard work from both of us, and we are both committed to continuing to work hard to ensure a happy and fulfilling life together now and in the future.

They are indeed strange responses. sometimes it just seems that everyone wants to project the worst interpretation onto everyone else's realationship.

Wanking their subconscious over the parade really.

    Any meaningful relationship does!!
My Lover and I have been together for 39 years.
He is also a westerner, not a Thai.
And we make it in spite of some bumpy times.
I wish you the best and know you will ignore the nay-sayers!!!

    Not really strange responses,

A bit of reality thrown in, you ae going to get diverse responses when you post on a board with people with all kinds of ideals, age groups, Nationalties and backgrounds.

If you only want applause, you should have joined the circus!

All relationships take a lot of hard work, commitment and self sacrifice, not just a Farang/Thai civil partnership.

Don't take it personal, if you're happy with it, That's the only important thing that matters.

Writing to a forum, you seldom get the answer you want, but you might get a cross section of responses, some of which you think are useful, so you listen, others you think are not, so you disregard them.

    Good luck with it.

There was an Election yesterday in Ireland....

Very happy to report that the current Minister for Justice... Michael McDowell, who personally rejected my BFs first visa application on its 2nd appeal has lost his seat in the Dail (Irish Parliament)

This guy completely blocked the application - despite the intervention of some pretty heavy weight politicians (Dept of Justice in charge of Visas in Ireland) In the meantime he let the country be over-run with Eastern Europeans and Nigerians...

He has now been forced to retire from politics.... And his party (the coalition paty in the Irish government) has been left in tatters

Couldn't have happened to a nicer man or party

Following this election we can now hopefully push ahead with civil partnership laws similar to the UK and I can forget about this visa ordeal every time BF wants to come here....

(or maybe thats just wishful thinking!)
    Buffalo me die! Send Money!

These politicians are bludgers and spivs and they expect us to pay taxes whilst they use the public credit cards and public money as one MP in Sydney has,to pick up boys from Kings Cross who were underage, just google Milton Orkopoulous, hopefully this prick ,when found guilty will get fucked up the arse in jail.
Not to mention fuckwit Patrick Power ,chief prosecutor Sydney Central Court, who was found guilty of possessing child porn, naked images of boys on his computer, last week, and was sentenced to a months jail, well he can get fucked too.

You do have such a nice way with words!!!

Thank you, dear. Underneath all that smugness, I don't see a single mention of mutual affection, caring, LOVE, passion, kindness, empathy - you know, the usual things one expects to hear from a budding relationship. You must be a graduate of the pete1969 Accounting School of Love (ASHOL). It goes without saying that relationships require hard work. But that hard work usually comes in mid stream not when you're just sailing off on your honeymoon. I'd say you were doomed from the start but who cares what a little old pussy like me thinks. Get back to us in six months and we'll see how you're doing. I'll have you know that I am not above saying "I TOLD YOU SO."
