Boyfriend289 ?
Hey guys,
Checking my FB this morning, saw few boys from Jomtien going to a bar called "Boyfriend289".
Havent heard of it and at 1st glance it looks like a hostbar for women, but since these Jomtien boys were there (as costumers)...
The guys there look my style (more straight/masculine), but usually i dont like Hostbars since its usually expensive+no Off, just having drinks or dancing.
So anyone know it/heard of it, any information ?

There are many such bars in Thailand. certainly a number of them in Pattaya. They cater for a wide circle of clients, particualrly wives in unsatisfactory relationships and with incapable or absent husbands.
My boyfriend's cousin was a mamasan in one such bar in 2nd road. He showed me photos of the line-up. Thee guys were stunning. There was no go-go and they remained fully-dressed. His bar was the subject of a local TV show but the guys weren't shown.
It was termed a karoake bar. Prices for drinks and "offs"were similar to those in lady/gay bars.

I went to Japan recently and was under the impression "Hostbars" dont do Off, just drinking and talking (Why i thought it was a waste of money!).
I suppose in Pattaya money talks, but if its for women can a Guy go there to off a Guy or Women Only allowed in ?
Im not familiar with these Hostbars.

Boyfriend289 is located on Third Road not far from intersection with South Pattaya Road going in direction of Central Pattaya Road on the right side. There is a Coffee Shop and Prestige Properties at the entrance to the Soi, across 3rd Road from Betagro Shop.

Well i did have fun in Japan with Escorts Site's, but Hostbars seemed a waste of money with all the drinking and competition + no guarantee you can take the Guy with you to your Hotel. So you say Hostbars do allow you to take someone to your Hotel both Japan and Thailand ? (I am in my 30's and still new to this scene. Japan 3rd time/Pattaya 4th time)
Karaoke bars, such as these, are strictly for women with money as customers. It would be rare for a karaoke boy to ruin his reputation with his female customers to go with a male customer.
However, someone will invariably post that they barfined a karaoke boy. Once.
The lady customers are mostly bargirls who, for whatever reason, don't have a Thai husband or boyfriend. A new bargirl usually gets invited to a karaoke bar by her co-workers, and is amazed by the crowd of young hansum men in the bar. The attraction usually wears off after a few months, but some bargirls persist in offing karaoke boys for many years.
Expensive sex.
