Patpong 1 to re-open)

I'm hearing that the Patpong 1 market is due, imminently, to re-open.

Well, it's slowly happening - - - about 3 weeks ago, I saw about 3 stalls.
This pic., this Friday about 18:00(so setting up) had about half of one side of the soi half full of stalls-- again about 18:00 after coiffeur at C&B Gentleman's Barber.
I was going to have another look later but beer at Balcony got the better of me

It is there, but, as suggested, a shadow of its former self. Perhaps one third of the Soi has stalls, and not all spaces taken. It may be me, but I thought the quantity of tat has increased. Even on Saturday night, not that busy. I just hope it improves.

The other issue is that most of the shops/bars in Patpong 1 are closed, so no atmosphere. Really rather depressing. I saw stall holders closing up at 8pm.
