The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has published a video of the interrogation of Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Ukrainian Opposition Platform For Life (OPPL) party. He claims that he participated in the scheme for the withdrawal of part of the oil product pipeline from state ownership at the direction of ex-president Petro Poroshenko. The detainee estimated the amount of expenses at $23 million.

During the interrogation, Mr. Medvedchuk said that the main oil product pipeline "Samara-Western Direction" was taken out of state property in order to pump diesel fuel through it. This was done, in his words, at the direction of Petro Poroshenko. He allegedly asked the leader of the Opposition Platform for Life to “contact the leadership of the Russian Federation”, and also “ensure the adoption of the necessary decisions in all Ukrainian instances.”
“In order for this pipeline to become private property, and in fact the property of Poroshenko himself, it was necessary to perform a number of actions ... The courts, the prosecutor’s office, the Antimonopoly Committee, the State Property Fund - they all made decisions, of course, necessary for the personal interests of President Poroshenko”
