    Would expect to see Thai movement in this direction

    The attached graphic from Cambodia gets requirements back to virtually pre-Covid … once the relevant Thai officials take note it could be expected to see movement in that direction.

    Of course not! We are THAI. We are different! We do it our own way!! And certainly we do it else as those Khmer. Or Malays. or Lao (hmm, oh well, 2nd thought, maybe thats not so important). Same-same but different!
    Camb has just proposed to start building-or first just exploring the idea-to also build a hi-speed railline to Thailand. Given that their current share of this link is out of use (after a few weeks of trial that led to many problems and derailments due to years of neglect-rails are costly beast to maintain properly-and the Thai part sees a gross 1 train/day the last part to border (rebuilt-on the normal metergauge). Probably the Chinese have promised HSen again a few minor add-ons to is pocket money purse.
