40 mile long Russian convoy heading towards Kiev. Uh oh, things are about to get really ugly.

One hell of a way to win over the hearts and minds of the people you wish to govern over.

    Not correct.

The number of ex special forces personnel sent to help in Ukraine is much smaller than what you stated (so far), and they haven't left, they are still there.

These personnel include, but may not have been limited to, ex U.S. and British Special Forces, as well as a crack team of SAS veterans from the UK. These support assets are already there. If by chance this support would ignite WW III as you suggested, then Russia would be forced to deal with active special forces, i.e. British Special Forces, UK SAS, KSK Commandos, U.S. Navy SEALS, U.S. Green Berets, DELTA Force, Rangers, and a host of other special forces assets.

Starlink terminals have already arrived in Ukraine. I think Musk only announced like 3 days ago they activated Starlink in Ukraine? Talk about quick turnaround time.

Cool, now Ukraine has high speed broadband internet that Russia can't take away.

I didn't know this before, but apparently China signed a nuclear umbrella agreement with Ukraine back in 2012. If threatened with nuclear attack, China is legally obligated under this agreement to provide a nuclear deterrent and defend Ukraine.

So far, no news from China if they will do anything though.

Putin has been stripped of his honorary taekwondo black belt over his country's invasion of Ukraine, a personal rebuke heaped on top of international economic and sporting sanctions.

World Taekwondo, citing its motto of "Peace is More Precious than Triumph," condemned the Russian military action in Ukraine, saying the "brutal attacks on innocent lives" violated the sport's values of respect and tolerance.

"In this regard, World Taekwondo has decided to withdraw the honorary 9th dan black belt conferred to Mr. Vladimir Putin in November 2013," the governing body said in a statement.

FIFA and UEFA suspended Russia’s national teams and clubs from international soccer on Monday (Tuesday Bangkok time), as sporting bodies around the world moved to bar Russian athletes from competing in international events in protest over the war in Ukraine. The move makes it likely that Russia will be excluded from this year’s Football World Cup and the women’s Euro 2020 tournament.

As we’ve learned recently Putin probably foresaw such an eventuality and will have set up alternatives or parallel bodies just as he set up Mir to bypass the SWIFT system

Sweden and Finland now joining the fray for another historical first. What exciting times!

Here we go again; Time to drag that iron curtain out of storage. Only this time it will just be needed to barricade the Republic of Russia from the rest of the world, versus the entire Soviet Union as it did before. A notable improvement if I do say so myself.

I have this picture of Putin poised behind the curtain pulling levers and screaming into a carefully fitted voice amplifier like the Great Wizard of Oz. If he only knew that Dorothy clicked the heels of her ruby slippers together and is already safely back in Kansas with Toto, and the Wicked Witch of the West was just an illusion.

Putin's fears of a unified, stronger Europe are fast becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy

There's discussions about banning the Russian team playing in the World Juniors (hockey) this summer, which are being hosted in Edmonton, Canada.

Wayne Gretzky even said he wanted it on air during his sports broadcast, and he's basically considered a god in Canada, so decent chance it will happen.

The phrase the “Iron Curtain” reminds me that I think of Dodgems as being somewhat of a “curtain twitcher” himself https://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...ain%20twitcher
