Moses, you seem to be more entrenched than even Putin is. Russia lost the war, get over it, and deal with it.

There's zero chance Russia or Putin comes out of this as victorious.

Sure-sure. Russia lost war and that why Zelensky is crying from monitors in each pro-West parliament and begs for help.

    Just a thought:

Building NATO's European Alliance even larger than it is now has to be one of the Wests priorities at this stage of the game.

Knowing that the biggest advantage to NATO membership is the Military protection it provides its members, If NATO were to jump in and actively join the war now there would be very little motivation for other European non-NATO States to join the Alliance, e.g., Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Ireland, Malta, and Sweden.

What appears to be the most valuable chess piece on the Board right now is "Finland" because of its shared border with Russia. Can you just imagine how Russia would feel seeing Finland join NATO - followed by the installation of MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems), similar to what the West has installed on Poland's eastern border, along Finland's border aimed directly at Moscow???

If Kiev is Putin's prize - then Finland is the Wests prize. Right now there's significant motivation for Finland to join NATO. With this one single chess piece added to the Wests side of the chess board - its "Stalemate"...and Putin knows it. If Putin were to react by flipping his lid and attacking NATO it would then become "Checkmate" in short order.

    Patience is a virtue.

New aerial images from Maxar show a Russian landing ship destroyed by Ukrainian forces on March 24.

The Pentagon claimed that the Russian army was using the ship to bring supplies to besieged Mariupol.

The Ukrainian army confirmed on Thursday that it had destroyed the warship.

New satellite images provided by Maxar Technologies show an amphibious Russian landing ship burning and flooding in the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk in southern Ukraine on Friday.

The Russian ship is an Alligator-class landing ship that was hit by Ukrainian forces on March 24.

The Pentagon on Friday said that the ship was offloading supplies for Russian troops currently besieging the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, according to The New York Times.

"The destroyed ship in Berdyansk could carry up to 20 tanks, 45 armored personnel carriers, and 400 paratroopers," Anna Malyar, Ukraine's deputy defense minister said on Thursday, according to The Times. "This is a huge target that was hit by our military."

The first photo shows fire and smoke can be seen billowing from the ship, which is partially submerged.

Yeah. 56-years old ship got damage in Berdiansk. USSR build up 14 such ships in 60s. There was 4 of them still "alive", now are 3. By the way The 5th just sank while being towed for repairs a couple of years ago.
