And the evidence of the appalling war crimes committed against innocent civilians in Ukraine continue to accumulate. Russia will be isolated and punished severely by the civilised world for decades to come, and rightly so.

    Re: The Brink of War?

How Dictators can still manage to spawn and spin their webs in a modern world is hard to comprehend. Sadly, it lends credence to the old saying that "people are sheep".

Here's a snippet from the article linked below that's both historically accurate and extremely depressing at the same time

"The rule of dictators and despots has often been protracted over many years, if not decades. The instruments of dictatorship are well known, including the use of brutal security services, torture chambers, and a culture of fear and repression. State-controlled media project an image of popular support and invulnerability. Dictators depend heavily on the support of their armed forces and police, as well as the backing of elites who are often from the same clan, tribe or political party. While dictators amass wealth, their populations usually are reduced to grinding poverty".

I can't think of any countries that might be interested in invading them - apart from Russia which occupied all of them at one point historically.
It was about bilateral agreements about intellectual property protection...

Why? These shops will continue to work. Like they did in Donetsk. Why they should worry?

yes-yes... 39 countries of 198... good luck to "isolation"

meanwhile EU already dropped idea to embargo on Russian oil transportation because of few vetoes, yesterday again failed voting about embargo of Russian oil import to EU

    by the way:

    - just at past Friday Israel again launched 22 missiles to Syrian territory, Israel many years occupies Gaza strip, Israel killed 6 foreign citizens in foreign countries ... maybe someone of you wants to talk about aggression of Israel and it isolation? (FYI: 16 of 22 missiles have been intercepted by 20-years old S-300 "Made in Russia")

    - yesterday Mr. Alzheimer signed order to send US troops to Somali. What do you think if Russia and allies will start send weapon-ammo to Somalians and share intelligence data with them where American troops are located?

    - chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said on Wednesday that the United States has the capabilities to conduct strike operations in Afghanistan if a threat emanates from the country’s territory. Huh? "Territory" is located on different continent.

    Doubled standards?
