Only 2 countries voted against resolution. Guess who? Ukraine... and US.
Perhaps you could quote directly from Comrade Putin’s speech where he made similar points?

I didn't hear it, but you may check voting results every year - it is traditional yearly voting, Ukraine and US not first time are alone there. US explains what it is against 1st amendment, and Ukraine... Ukraine just doesn't want to shoot into own leg - Ukrainian Nazi will be angry.

    For example Dec 16 2020 voting https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/3894841?ln=en - 1 year before Putin's speech.
    Dec 18 2019 voting https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/3840130?ln=en 2 years before Putin's speech

And first time when Ukraine voted against it was Dec 2014 - first voting after nationalist revolution, so named Maidan, when nationalists got power https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/820132?ln=en

Surely you realise that we regard this as the usual name-calling by the immature you find in the school yard

The Weimar Republic was the prelude to something else. Is that what you are predicting for Russia?

FIFA bans matches in Russia, says national team must play as Football Union of Russia. I wonder what that means for the FIFA World Cup 2022

I just feel all warm and fuzzy inside that Russia has put nuclear weapons on alert.

I don't think anyone views this as saber rattling. A mentally unstable and dangerous man becoming more dangerous maybe. At the very least, it shows a sign of weakness and that the war isn't going as he wanted.

In other news, stories abound all over the internet of how ex Navy Seals, British Special Forces, SAS and so on are heading out to Ukraine to help.

Are you implying that US Navy SEALS have embarked on a mission to assassinate Putin in the same way they “took out” Osama Bin Laden? That would be a new development

No... you missed the "ex" part. I'm saying apparently a bunch of guys in their 30s and 40s who used to be special forces have decided, "who does this Putin motherfucker think he is?", and have headed over to help defend Ukraine.
