First time in BKK

Hey everyone!

There’s lots of great advice on this forum and enough information to read for months!

I just wanted to ask, as a very large gentleman in my 30s, is it appropriate for me to try to visit massage places or saunas?

Sorry if that’s an odd question but, also don’t want to be treated with disgust if I can avoid it

I guess it all depends on what you mean by "very large".

If you're saying you're just an overweight guy with a large mid-section - then you won't sense the least amount of discontent from any massage boy. On-the-other-hand If, by "very large" you're concerned that you could bend the legs on the table - then that's a different story...LOL

Just be yourself...enjoy...they will do the same...guaranteed.

The average Thai boy would much rather spend time with a jai dee (friendly) farang with a robust build - then they would with a farang built like Ryan Reynolds if he acts like a conceded asshole.

Just go to a massage shop and see what they say or offer. And if you do have a massage, then give a good tip.

Thais don't show disdain for anyone, whatever they look like. And, as far as massage places, to quote Rupert Murdoch (sort of), it's the money that counts.
So no issue there, or indeed in go go bars.
In saunas, you never know; the worst that could happen is that you will be ignored. However, since the demise of our beloved Babylon, I couldn't recommend any BKK saunas as particularly welcoming to falangs, other than those who are young.

regardless of how much "handsome man" talk your money might buy, they may still have to resort to straight porn on their phone to get it up or to get off - at least that is what my friend who is about the same age and weight as I am tells me!

...and I know from personal experience by the way I treat them (relax not talking about whips & chains or scat) that there is just about nothing they will not do for money..so servicing a morbidly obese guy would not deter them..just keep in mind there is zero sexual interest in you...its all about the cash

Some little info on the Thai way of thinking: being fat-this is often even said without any hindrance-is seen as a sign of prosperity and high wealth.
The word for it is ´phompuy´ (pom-poo-yee). It is also ´uan´ (oo-wan) but thats a little negative.
It would be enough reason to hire 2 for 4 hands, nah?
