The article goes on to quote Pattaya's mayor as referencing "the next few years" which is a more realistic timetable.
I don't know, I already have pushed my mentality back to Q3Y2022.
Who knows though. Variants of Covid could spring up, and throw that into totaly disarray.
Hell, by the time the pdaenmic is over I might be allowed back in Thailand already (Apr 2023).
One would have to be mad to consider going to Pattaya in September as a tourist.
However, give it a few months and the current wave could be past, with a much more optimistic outlook. If that's not the case, I'll have to look at other countries for a holiday.
Cambodia might be one to consider, if they introduce any kind of sandbox.
