Can you read English or do you only like anything Russian or Chinese?

The Thai government held the official ceremony July 12 to receive 1,053,090 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine donated by the government of Japan to help fight the spread of COVID-19.

Wish they all went to Pattaya.

What I want to know is who was the twisted bugger who thought it prudent to order THAT exact number of doses and why one gods earth they couldn't have upped their order by a mere 10 doses to at bring the amount of doses ordered up to a nice round 1,054,000 number, to assist the ease of reporting if nothing else whilst calming my OCD ! :-)

Although Sinovac is bottom of the efficacy charts for vaccines, it is still much better than no vaccine at all. In the attached article the quoted number of infections after double vaccinations was 1%. In the UK, where everyone was vaccinated with other vaccines, it is still the case that half the people being admitted to hospital, and also dying, had already been double vaccinated.

Yes, I can read English. Moreover: I can read numbers (surprise!): with SinoVac and tyrany in China died in 1.5 years the same amount what died in India in 2 hours, the same amount what died in US in 4 days, the same amount what died in UK in 20 days... do you want me to continue to count?

With Sinovac there are 0 (zero) deaths in China at past week and 1800+ deaths in USA with Moderna/Pfizer. As per WHO each 100000 injections of Astra follows by 1 death from blood clot and 1 from heart muscles inflammation. But you still may make "big eyes" when you hear "Sinovac".

P.S. all numbers are counted rough, source https://www.worldometers.info/corona.../#weekly_table

Why am I not surprised that you believe in a country of 1.5 Billion people not 1 death in a week was covid related….and the pope is not catholic.

I do not believe. I know. After 1 tested positive to COVID Chinese lock quartal in city where he lives and testing whole population 2 times. They have fully automated qr-code system where your green qr-code will became red in 5 min if you was in the same bus where this one positive had ride or at the same shop at next few hours after his visit. With red qr-code you cannot enter to any public place in China, can't use public transport or taxi and must self-quarantine yourself at home. Police and doctors will arrive in 30 min after red QR for to check you and take test. Chinese have check-in every time when they entering any public place or car or train.

Friend of my husband had visit at Friday night to friend's BF apts. And they were locked for one week in apts because one of inhabitants in the same building got red QR-code, so their QR-became red as well because of the same GPS point. Chinese now have most effective preventing viruses spreading system in World, that why with Sinovac and surveillance via QR they have only 170 cases at past week per 1.5 Billion people country.

Moses. Your point is somewhat selective in.its accuracy. No one is allowed in to China so no new cases are being imported. Only when Sinovac comes up against the new muscle boy variants will we know what it's properties are. It's like saying there are no shark attacks in Kazakhstan and lots in Australia so therefore the people of Kazakhstan must be immune to sharks.

It isn't true. All Chinese students who studied here in Russian and finished their study are coming back to homeland since end of June. I think what Chinese students from other countries do the same.

I can confirm that Chinese students have been coming and going from the UK for most of the past year.
Requirements keep changing, but upon returning to China, I think they need a PCR test, an antibody test and I think it's 2 weeks in a quarantine hotel, which may even be followed by another week of isolation at home.
