Hydras / Trolls / Ignore

If they are a problem, just spend 2 minutes putting the whole lot of them on your ignore list & perhaps encourage others to join the club.

Exactly, that's why the "Ignore" function was invented in the first place...and it works like a charm.

I was able to completely remove our resident Troll and his 6 Hydra's from my hemisphere with a few clicks on the keyboard. In essense, the Troll and his Hydra's have been locked in permanent quarantine where they belong.

A Troll can only bait his victims, derail discussions, and create bitterness on a site like ours, with "Words". Once you bury his words, he's totally powerless and left to his own demise.
