To answer your question gerefan2, no, not really. This was the scene this morning up north; admittedly, just a light dusting of snow, the first of the winter, but it was bitter cold and more is to come. Of course I would prefer to be in Thailand for the winter and, as is my custom, return home in April after the UK switches from Greenwich Mean Time to British Summer Time, but not this year.

Still, at least you've got that knob in the garden for pleasure. Looking at the overlooking it might be best after dark on those long, long nights. And hope the floodlights don't suddenly come on!

You’re not the first to comment on the . . . er . . . phallic nature . . . of my garden water feature, Brad the Impala. Honestly, when I purchased it, it was the last thing on my mind. But, much to my chagrin, it’s the first thing almost everyone who has seen it comments on.

Hopefully, gerefan2 will be along soon to provide us with an update on his visa application, bring us back on topic and thereby spare my blushes.

Not much to report, except I read on the Expats trying to get a Visa Facebook site this week that they are closed because, you guessed it, some of them have come down with Covid 19. You couldn’t make it up!

Okay well if it is weather you want, then Hawaii can't be beat. Far better weather than Thailand frankly which is almost always beastly hot. Today is just another Shitty Day in Paradise, as we say:

Me thinks it is not the warm weather you need.
