    It's great news if you are Chinese Han. For the rest of us, not so much.

    It's great news for Chinese who have enough holiday allowance to spend 14 days in quarantine in Thailand and another 14 days when going back home. No wonder the numbers are so low.

    This will be basically for the RICH Chinese...but not so good for the economy...only the hotels and some high class restaruants and a few high end shops will benefit..the rest..NOTHING

    I wonder how many of those high-end hotels, restaurants, tour bus companies, souvenir shops etc are Chinese-owned?

    That's what the Japanese did when travel to Hawaii took off. Big Japanese companies, lead by a crook called Osano Kenji, in kahoots with the Prime Minister of the day, rushed in and bought up everything. And the same happened in my state of Western Australia where all the major hotels were snapped up.

    Visas granted to rich tourists do not always bring benefits to the locals.
