Condoms do not only protect from HIV, but from many other STDs and from pregnancy (not an issue for most of our members).
Overall, I think PREP is harmful as it gives a false sense of security and leads to unsafe sex.

100% this. I've never been done bareback and it's a fantasy I'll hopefully fulfill one day, but PREP won't be relied upon. It's all about knowing your partner - well! Gawd knows how many other sorts of infections PREP has caused by making people think unsafe sex is safe..

prep if taken as directed is as safe as condoms...wearing a condom will not help with veneral diseases unless you wear one before u even get naked as oral sex can transmit them too and that would be so sad...a bj with a condom...might as well not do it.
