I always enjoy your messages. You bring up two interesting phenomena:
1. What is it about Thai memory -- I am always astounded at their memory. I was in Foodmart in Jomtien one day when a guy walked up to me and said, "you are Marc? right? i think we met x (10?) years ago at y". I was astounded. And after comparing notes, at the butter case, I found out he was right and it all came back, but I had LONG forgotten the encounter.
2. Those "rematches" rarely turn out to be very satisfying. But it always nice to rekindle fond memories of the past. I wonder why those rarely work out? In fact, while we are on the topic, it is also strange that a "reengagement" sanuk of a MB for a second or third time, after a very successful first encounter, also seems less likely to be successful than the first engagement.
