I agree with David. Prep provides (an arguably) "false" sense of security, that, while generally effective against HIV, provides zero protection against other STI's. Syphilis is on the rise, and given the permanent complications (inc brain damage, liver damage and visual impairment) not to mention the body rash and warts/sores in the mouth and genitals, it's something I'd prefer to avoid if I can.

There's also a strain of Gonorrhea going around that's resistant to antibiotics.

Yes, a sense of security against HIV. but not false. AND if you keep up with other studies, doxycycline as bacterial Prep to greatly reduce the chance of several more STDs (all the non-virals). that leaves Herpes (visible sores when transmitting) and Hepatitis C (if you have the A/B vaccines)

after years of fighting with condoms, I am feeling a sense of freedom and fucking mostly BB. are there risks, yes, but I try to manage them.
