Is heavy handed moderation appropriate for this board?

The difference btw "banned" and "temp.suspended" = "temp.suspended" will be switched to normal status when suspension time will finished (SG got 2 weeks of suspension). "Banned" means: member never will be switched to normal membership again, ban is permanent.

So Mods / Moses - anyone care to elaborate perhaps as maybe this was all your ( stupid) infarction robot and not a human being otherwise it appears to make little sense to the uninitiated and us great unwashed.

1. Mods don't report to members: they aren't appointed to moderators by election. They were appointed by me and report to me.
2. Words like "long standing member" and "5300 posts, 1866 likes ... sounds like a rather loyal member" have no sense when we are speaking about penalties: "long standing" and "newbies" should be treated equal.
3. No. It wasn't action of robot. It was me.

I know your english isn't great Moses but asking if someone "cares to elaborate" is far removed from "being reported to".

As I've said before I think you're plain crazy for the way you speak and interact with your members, i.e the same people who actually populate your board with their posts - but hey "up to you" I guess - thankfully we dont have to report to you either of course and most coldn't give a flying fuck about your infraction points or your suspending whims ( myself included) - all I'd say is that we all know another board owner who thought the "iron fist" was a good idea for his board - and just look how that's working out posts wise for him........but as I said "up to you" - you're you're own worst enemy sometimes it seems.

NG, "report" means any explanations why moderator made any his decision. My 15+ years of experience of owning forums shows what it will lead to fights and flames. It's unavoidable. By the same reason rules forbid public discussion of cases of moderation. Here is no space for democracy in moderation. Also it isn't court.

Everything is very easy: follow rules and you never will meet moderation. List of restrictions is very short: Thai Royal family, underage, pure porn, racism, cases of moderation. Keep anonymity and be human. Is it hard? And yes: this short list will be defended by iron fist.

Except for the war you and Scottish guy had with Neal. So that's two out of three board owners you've both detested. Two things here surprise me. One, that Moses hasn't kicked you both out and two, that you both continue to voluntarily come here.

Neal of course was as certified nut job as many attested too - heck even moderators of this very board may agree with that fact no less ! ;-) So calling him out as being a right jerk to ALL of his members I of course make no apologies about - but hey you know that anyway of course and as always are just trying to mould non facts to suit the twisted reality you would LIKE to portray for your own twisted game there - somethings it seems never change it seems eh.


Likewise with your adding words like "detested" in relation to Moses - now where have I EVER said I detest Moses ? Would you care to show me any post that says that? Moses and I have quite civil conversations about every day stuff and Bots and all sorts, however just as if you believe a friend you are drinking with in a bar becomes objectionably rude when talking to people sometime then of COURSE you would point that out to him -I means that's what friends are for isn't it. So whilst I may dislike how Moses speaks to us all in terms of his talking down to people ( which is half times an english language issue I think as much as anything) whilst this may not be a democracy ( as Moses so often loves to remind us) in a free society I can of course feel free to tell him 'bollox" to that to - just as he is also then free to ignore me - as he is fully entitled to do too.


Meanwhile as to why i come here ( not that I need to explain that to you of course but I'll humour you) having come here for well over 15 years and posted many thousands of posts, the VAST majority all positive of course ( again unlike the narrative you would LIKE to suggest) I'll continue doing so unlike I decide or prefer not to until the board owner prefers I don't ( no matter how much you gently try and goad him into that the sad brown tongue little game playing man you are).


When the board is running well it can be entertaining and fun......when you were a Mod of course not so much as you ALMOST wrecked the board hence why I did stop posting around that time .....so hey perhaps you should put your name up again - as just look how well that all went for you and the board last time eh !

It is language issue: I'm trying to write as short as possible. Maybe it looks rude, but it leaves the most small gap for misunderstanding. That why I prefer to omit all "bows and curtsy" in favor of understanding.
