absoloutley loved the place,my first holiday in pattaya was not out to my friends but first visits to crazy bar/dragon/so memorable and that was 2008

Pleased to see that instead of giving up and closing , the owner has decided to try and attract the old crowd and also build up momentum for new faces in high season.
With happy hour till 9 it is good value drinking ,when there is pleasant company to enjoy with.
I hope that some of the old crowd call in and join in.

Having spoken to the owner last time this was discussed I am not surprised.
He did say he will continue with Doubleshot, for this High Season, and then decide whether to move on....so its not permanent.

I understand the issue has most to do with his Elephant Plaza Hotel licence which presently (apparently) can only be used for long term room lease and not daily as per normal hotel. If this one issue is resolved it seems he would be happy to stay in Sunee with both businesses staying put, but if not resolved over high season the start of next year could prove to be a definite game changer for many of the Sunee businesses who rely on a big player in the area. Like Gerefan2 I enjoy visiting Double Shot and its presence in the area. Also the owner is a nice guy who is often very generous with his bell ringing. Well he was during my recent visits there.

No reason to return

You simply can't expect a bar which opens from 7-8pm though to 3-4am regularly to be busy every minute of the evening. It has some great busy nights and lots of quieter times. If the pool table was busy, just ask one of the waiters when you can have a turn, they often play pool just because there's nobody on the table or showing interest.

Personally, I'd just take my chances - but I'm sure it would appeal to some.
