    Scallop Wars

I will always support British farmers/fishermen over Johnny Foreigner and especially against those annual troublemakers the French. However it is impossible not to admit that on this occasion their grounds for complaint have some merit. It would be easier to decipher The Voynich Manuscript than to understand the intricacies of the European Union fishing rights treaty but allowing British fishing boats to fish year round in French Waters while the French are restricted (and it works both ways) has to be a form of insanity.

I don't think it's just fish. Working to deploy modern travel booking and procurement tools in the EU was truly a Byzantine affair.
