In Thailand the format of both gay and straight establishments has barely changed in living memory, and the broad concepts may well have originated in the PI and got copied in the LoS

There was such a place in Paris when I and 2 friends visited maybe about 2005 - "Le Depot" .

There are already plenty of saunas in Thailand where this sort of activity can take place and unlike farang of a certain age, gay Thai guys (and I dare say other Southeast Asians) don't need a 'venue', a 'scene' or a 'concept' to have fun. You are mixing things up. You start with prostitution and then move to saunas, where no money changes hands.

There are plenty of gay saunas in Thailand (over 30, I have been to all of them), but only few of them have glory holes, and I haven't seen any of them in use.

I haven't been in darkrooms in gay saunas in Thailand for a while (not my style), so I can't judge what goes on there.
