I thought it a matter of public record that lonelywombat owns a condo in Pattaya which he visits three times a year (a recent post as I recall). Doesn't he live in a suburb of Melbourne called "South Meringue" (I heard of such a suburb when I was once at the main railway station in Melbourne and there was a PA announcement - exactly the sort of place you'd expect cream puffs to reside)?

For the Dreary Wombat:
Casinos in Thailand:
Despite laws against gambling, illegal casinos are widespread in Thailand. The first large-scale gambling houses were established in Ayutthaya by the government in the late-17th century or early-18th century as a result of the steady growth of Chinese population. During the 19th century the number of gambling houses grew in tandem with the population of Chinese immigrants. To promote the settlement and taxation of the Chinese population in Thailand, the Thai government turned a blind eye to gambling among Chinese immigrants. As a result of this inadvertent endorsement, local Siamese were encouraged to gamble as well. After the gambling act was first passed in 1930 casinos were banned completely and gambling was prohibited in Thai society. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambli...ailand#Casinos
Forget who comes to dinner Lonely ... they're probably Russian mafia.
Casinos in Thailand are stricly prohibited by law. Do 'casinos' popup every so often? Absolutely . . . Thais LOVE gambling, on anything. But does that mean that gigantic western style casinos are being built? Absolutely not.
More likely, vaguely, secretive, dirty, sleasy buildings are taken over for short periods of time, then closed down quickly when they stop being able to bribe the Boys-in-Brown. Just like prostitution, someone said above.
Lonely, you are definitely going bonkers. Starting to sound like a Trumpiam Wombat.

So more like a gambling den, not a casino.
