Following receipt of a report from a member via the red triangle alert system about some posts in this topic, they have been moved to the Everything Else forum under the title, At my age I can only offer boobs.

I think my post was very mild (as anyone can see via the link) - and has even been "liked" by a gentleman of impeccable taste.

I invite people to compare it with the lurid accounts of his sexual activities which are being posted by one of the management team - which are (in comparison to my tame little joke) little more than pornographic filth, and decide which is worse.

As a point of order - can we all have each other's posts moved now just by pressing the red triangle? My index finger is poised as we speak

The posts were moved at the member's suggestion scottish-guy, not because they were lurid, but because they were considered to bear no relation to the topic and more suitable to the Everything Else forum which, of course, is viewable to members and readers.

And the red triangle alert system has been around since December 3rd, 2016. See post #3 by Moses from the Posting rules & guidelines section, which I have quoted below. Many members use it to contact the administration team and we always decide matters referred to us on a case-by-case basis.

If you think what some posts are violating rules, you can call moderator to pay attention to such posts by clicking special icon under each post - red triangle (see picture).

If you're REALLY going to start moving EVERY post ( you collectively decide too) just because "someone" decides to (be anal enough) to hit the big red magic red button I'm guessing the Mod's had better fill a flask, cancel any other plans they've got for the next six months Jelly and prepare to be busy here as I'm guessing you might be here a while.

Without getting into a discussion about that SG's particular ( silly but fairly innocent obviously attempt at a humorous post as SG's was) surely it's always been a "thing" that threads on SGF wander and surely that shouldn't change on a whims of someone hitting that nuclear button unless it's something quite serious (IMHO) otherwise Mod's could spend half their lives moving or deleting posts, otherwise people I'm guessing will just start reducing their posts to absolute thread relevant facts "just in case" - which some of course may say is a good thing, but personally I wouldn't hold to that view.

My point is that perhaps a level of common sense and tolerance is required by the (all) members without them reaching out to Mods via red triangles every time a post on a thread irks them - no ?

SG, I've been posting my "pornographic filth" since 2006.

And since 2006 members have been deciding for themselves whether or not they want to read such "filth." Judging from the number of views over the years compared to the number of complaints about them - I'm not aware of any - members are clearly voting with their fingers accordingly and clicking on the thread to read the posts.

I presume they will continue to make that personal choice.

I would have thought that a liberal-minded person such as yourself would not regard porn as 'filth.'

Nirish, since mods were appointed no member to my knowledge has clicked on the red triangle simply because a post "irks" them. That is not what it is for. If everyone did that, we'd have to cancel our plans for the next six years, not months!

I fear you don't understand the "number of views" feature. Every time a Search engine runs through your posts (and they all do, several times a day if not an hour) that's another "view"

But a search engine would also run through everyone else's posts, so perhaps I should have said "in comparison to some other threads."
