I asked the guy tonight and that was exactly his reply. He then showed me dick pics a Brazilian guy had sent him. He also confirmed what frequent said - he can't see such pics on the app itself, only in messages.

Nope. Never seen it, only heard about it.

My iPad is sometimes borrowed by a friend and I don't want him to see any gay apps. I've only ever used gayromeo and that was in Prague.

Also, as I've said before, I prefer to see the guys in the flesh before I decide if I want to have sex with them. I want to talk to them face to face.

If I got a guy of the apps and he turned out not to look like his photo - a common problem it seems - I wouldn't be able to send him away. I just couldn't bring myself to do that.

I've been to most gay meccas for some forty years and I never use apps. Grinder is a mystery to me as well. I want to see a person face to face, sometimes it's just a vibe, a feeling - a real "cut of his jib" thing. Once an English lad I enjoyed in Amsterdam turned up at the brothel in Earl's court. It depends on your situation - if you can accommodate it's very handy to just get a lad on Grindr and either pick him up or get him to call round, but I agree that (for me) it all feels very mechanical - most of us want the illusion that the boy might be interested in more than just sex, and the bar or gogo setting can provide that IMHO

Ok, was gonna say maybe its an age thing but thats not right, not due to any PC considerations but just that Ive encountered lotsa 70 year olds that are on grindr and generally comfortable with technology.
So apologies...see I can apologise.
