Still plenty of places remaining by the looks of things! At least 20, side by side.

It's too early to give up on the old girl just yet!

BTW, I'm in Mandalay, Myanmar, at the moment. What I wouldn't give for just one of those bars!
I think some people are referring to the decline in bars, in Sunee Plaza when they mention "Pattaya is dying?"

To be honest if you walk through Sunee Plaza, there are bars that are closed, and no sign of reopening?

Perhaps - but quality versus quantity has to come into the equation too I guess as to me 5 or 10 small bars in a row, all the same average 3m or 4m wide frontage, with tables outside and all offering nothing different really could just be the equivalent of one or two bars perhaps. A little bit of something different every now and then would be nice perhaps. But still as you say compared to other places it's still better than there so yes still life there yet - lets just hope it stays that way for a while longer eh.

Thanks so much! I was wondering what Dick's Pattaya looked like. Massage right next door!

Wonder if we will ever see the return of the gogo boy bars the way they used to be in their heyday...soi twilight in BKK is a shadow of itself and whilst I have enjoyed many an evening in jomtien the bars are all like beer bars with gay/male hosts...all same same...rather tame.

So true. Going into one of those bars is just like being in all. They all look the same to me and no different to each other. But at least they are busy.
