NEW Harmony Kitchen OPEN So Pattaya ...site of Mocador

I have been enjoying the delicious American breakfast at the newly opened Harmony Kitchen Cafe... In the former site of the Mocador Cafe in South Pattaya. On Thrappraya.
Open every day 9am to 9pm.
At 125 Thai baht it's affordable and delicious.
    I will return....

Looks wonderful. Great food and comfortable decor.

Btw Moses. One of the 'related' topics is
"Most popular porno site busted in Pattaya" so that might indicate either a software glitch or the participants enjoyed a good breakfast after their exertions.

Re the above pic - can someone clarify for me just so that I know for once and for all is ie "E-SAN" ( oe E-San ?) OR is it Isan OR Issan - as a quick google search throws up many of all 3 being used ?? Or like all things in Thailand are ALL of them a "bit" correct, depending on where you come from / how you speak etc perhaps ? Either way is there a general acceptance both in Thai and English which is "more" correct than the others perhaps ?

I note that the food is referred to as an “American Breakfast” - is that really the way Americans like their bacon, as to me it looks like scraps.

The rest of the good value breakfast looks appetising though

Actually the most often used is "Isaan", so that's four variations.
They are all correct really because all you are doing when you use english letters for 'Isaan' (et al) to pronounce it you're simply using phonetics.
The Thai spelling for 'E-san' (et al) is "อีสาน", but using english phonetic sounds for all your examples are pretty much OK to speak or write.

I think "Isaan" is probably the best phonetic attempt to getting the sound of the word right: When Thais say "isaan" there is quite a long and hard sound (almost like an extended "isarrrrn") with the two 'a's helping to get the rather harsh sounding more correct.
Just another reason why I love living in Thailand
