You see all the posts about the Tarntawan because it's been there a long time, it is aimed at gay clientele (although this may be changing a little), it's in an excellent location and you can take as many guys to your room as you wish, if that's your thing. There is no joiner fee and reception phones you after the guy has left the room to see if you are ok before they return the guy's ID card. Also, the staff are very friendly.

I wrote extensively about Golden Cock in my recent Bangkok report. I also said that Nature Boy seems to have thrown in the towel and often has only a couple of guys working. Sometimes, none of the guys bother to turn up. But then again, it's always been hit and miss. Feast or famine.

And as jellybean said, check out Super A. I haven't been there for a long time, as I've had numerous unpleasant experiences with some of the guys - silicone cocks, mooks, guys who appear to be spaced out - and the mamasans drive me crazy, nagging me all night for tips.

But like many other bars, things don't always remain the same. New guys come to work, others quit. So it may be worth your while to drop by; you could be pleasantly surprised - by the boys, not the mamasans.

I suggest you look on AirBnb for a Condo. About the same rate as a Hotel but much nicer. Many located off Silom. Good luck!!
