I use AirBNB too. No ID checks needed. Not because I’m doing anything bad, it’s just awkward

I use AirBNB in the Caribbean but it puts the whole ID check on me. Frankly, I feel safer with the Gay oriented hotel that checks the ID, keeps it and - better yet - calls me when he leaves.

Oh, and offering a bit of extra info to drewSpz, as the bars he mentioned are just around the corner from the Tarntawan.

You failed to mention that there were at least 2 other off-topic comments, one of which you actually gave a " like" to!

Having said that, point taken! I did stray a little. I'll now go and stand in the corner.
Normally, I hate off topic posts - some are just mad - but as a hotel has a lot to do with location I appreciate some local color. For example, a recent poster talked about Babylon rooms and gave a very good discription of the bleek neighborhood - off my list. This sort of thing does give help and color.

Care to enlighten us on your Caribbean experiences?

It's way off topic, so I'll be short. I have been going to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic; it's very close to me and I find it a wonderful experience.

You can always post a report in the Sawatdee Gay World forum if you wish.

This time I’m going to venture out and try bangkok. Maybe one week.

    Thanks all.
I think 3 to 4 nights is enough time in Bangkok.

No beach to go to during the day.

Apologies, a little off topic too. But you mentioned "a wonderful experience". Is that gay fun you had while you were there?

yes, you can assume that eery thing I say on this forum has a gay theme/insight/agenda etc. Sanjto Domingo is not a lively gay venue, there are a few bars but many that were there have fallen - much like the decline in Pattaya - however, I have been there so many, many times that I no longer rely on venues.
