Re: The one that got away.

Germany seem to be the Country leading with "Rent Boy Bars".

    • Berlin have 4
    • Dusseldorf have 2
    • Hamburg have 2

I wonder how many other Cities in Germany have such bars?

If anybody have info, please enlighten us?

And 50 EUR short time in Düsseldorf is like 2000 baht. So Bangkok prices. If the boys are twinks, I can go each weekend to Düsseldorf. I think 1.5 hour by train.

Re: The one that got away.

I've been saying on this forum for years that Germany is the last place in Europe to have any decent rent scene.

Most big cities still have rent bars. Hamburg a shadow of itself since the closing of the world-infamous boy brothel in the Reeperbahn and the death of the owner, H - but still the best tea and cake in Germany at Cafe Gnosa gay cake shop

The boys in the bars are old fashioned hustlers - they don't normally use apps they just turn up and hawk their wares. Of course you'll find high-end escorts online at fancy prices - but a bit of rough is always welcome

It all reminds me of Amsterdam's Paardenstraat in it's 80's heyday of Music Box, Cupido, and Festival bars.

From there I got Dutch twin brothers, smoked coke with a boy called Rico (he wore a diamond but wasn't from the Copacabana) - amongst many many other dodgy adventures I wouldn't even dream of doing nowadays. A few duds as well but fond memories.

Very much AYOR though - I've been mugged in Berlin. Never felt unsafe in Pattaya or BKK even in an almost deserted Sunee at 3 or 4am (cue MiniMee or Arsepiece)

But better be quick - it's all starting to wither away - on last trip to Berlin I noticed the HUGE Bruno's (Gmunder) sex shop neat Nollensdorf U-Bahn station had shut down - biggest sex shop I have ever set foot in anywhere in the world.

Thank you for the introduction. It's nice that you can contribute something useful for once rather than your usual offerings of 'jokes' and your personal fetish taste.

And yes. To date I've never felt unsafe in Pattaya, even as you say at 4 or 5 in the morning in Sunee, BT or Jomtien.

Of course, it's been nearly 9 years since you partook of any Teutonic sexual activity so you won't have any idea about current prices.

Do guys still work in brothels in Germany?

I used to drive past a large establishment every day just outside of Göttingen but never got the chance to go in and ask.

I simply can't believe you "drove past" without going in. That's not the a447 of today. Haha.

Yes - the IBIS on the exterior of the main train station - no problem with joiners and no problem to find if you’ve been out wandering

In June 2018 a friend and I stayed in an apartment booked via Bookings.com with a minimum stay of two nights needed. We stayed at Apartments Charlotte which is just two streets from the two rent bars.
    About 3 minutes walk away.

My last visit in October 2018, I was on my own, and visited just for one night. I stayed in a hotel called City-Hotel Dusseldorf right next door to the two rent bars.

Now I had no problem bring back a lad to my room. The night staff at the reception desk just looked and weaved hello to me.

I normally only book apartments on all my trips, as prefer the privacy etc. But on this occasion I had to book a hotel as was on my own and most apartments have a minimum two nights stay.

The City-Hotel Dusseldorf was excellent. Comfortable, very clean, and they even give guests a free 24 hour transport pass for bus, tram, metro and train, which also covers the train all the way to the Weeze Airport 2 hours away. Unfortunately, I forgot about this excellent offer, and brought my return train ticket before I got to the hotel when I arrived on the day. And it was also mentioned in the reviews about the hotel.

The Ibis Hotel right next to the main train station is good I hear from others, and is only 5 minutes walk to the bars in question.

There is also another hotel called Leonardo Boutique Hotel Dusseldorf, one street away from the bars. I visited this hotel back during my June trip to meet a MB who was staying at this hotel. It was very discreet. I called the MB when I arrived, he told me his room number and what floor he was on. I entered via the hotel entrance and nobody saw me and I made my way to the lift and went to his room for my fun time!

So this hotel seem good, plus it was cheaper than the City-hotel Dusseldorf, and the price included breakfast. So if I were to visit Dusseldorf again, I think my choice will be that hotel.

All three hotels and the apartment mentioned above can be booked via Bookings.com where the prices are much cheaper.

My next trip to rent bars experience will be Hamburg (No date yet?). Full report once I'm back.
