It's a place I 'intended' visiting after a long absense but now after this I'm definitely going back.

I've never offed a boy from a massage place. How does that work? Do you pick one from the gaggle outside and then tell the manager you'd like to off him? Is the off fee the 400 B you would have paid in-house or more than that (because it will probably be more than an hour before he gets back)? Unfortunately the answer is "it depends". I was staying in a friend's condo recently while he was away, and there was a small massage place across the road. I'd been there once for an in-house massage and found the only male employee there more than willing. Around 10pm one evening I wandered across and started chatting to the female manager, and was shortly thereafter joined by the masseur. She suggested I come in for a massage. I said I'd prefer one at home, gesturing to the condo building. "No problem" was the answer, and all I paid her was the listed massage cost. You won't know until you try, and there's no need to assume that an off fee is mandatory. I should add he was more than happy with 1,000 baht, which I paid him before the session started, and he went well beyond the call of duty
