Is it possible to buy a day pass for the skytrain/BTS and the metro in Bangkok? If so, where do you buy one?

No, the single card for both - the Spider Card - has been delayed several times but may emerge some time this year. I've seen signs stating you can buy a day pass for the BTS which you do at any BTS station ticket counter; I don't believe there's an equivalent for the metro (MRT) - but that just means I haven't seen the equivalent signs
