With homes 'oop north' in UK and in Chiang Mai, most airlines require 3 flights. Qatar now flies into CNX but the timings are horrible and, however you work it, you end up with one 30+ hours trip. After many years with EVA and five years with Air France, Manchester - Hong Kong - Chiang Mai, on Cathay, is my route of choice. New A350s rather than ancient 777s and their premium economy is very comfortable for a 190cm frame.
