Tinnie's is unique among the local piemakers in that they use flaky pastry dough, similar to croissants. They're tasty, no doubt about it.
But, for convenience, I keep some "Meat & Potato" pies from The Bake House in my freezer. Available frozen at Friendship Market. Have to defrost them in the microwave at 450 watts for a few minutes then give them five minutes in the toaster oven.

DAMN IT, after much effort, I have recently lost about 30 kilos and am now in great shape. I must avoid such food. Pies will make me over weight again

I overheard a guy this evening telling his friend that there'd been a contretemps outside the Fried Egg and Jockstrap public house.
