Shot in the dark, but anyone by chance know of any Laos / Vientiane expat forums that are active? I found a few, but they've all been dead for years without any posts.

This expat law firm maintains some sort of blog you might find useful - http://jclao.com/ - but if you can't find an active expat forum it suggests there aren't enough expats who are interested in having one. Laos is not Cambodia with its very active khmer440 forum - my guess is too few expats to form the critical mass that an active forum needs. Laos is so insignificant we don't even have a separate Laos sub-forum here

Robotics killed loads of blue collar jobs, and now with AI, loads of white collar jobs are on the chopping block and have been slowly disappearing for a good while now. You can expect that trend to continue, and most likely at an exponential rate. Nobody can predict the type of world and society we will be living in once that happens.
