    colmx, I have to disagree with you. Most early houses are located around the markets area (fruit and veg). I've been in most of the ones on your map
    Hitchhiking's more of a challenge on the road less travelled.

    Most of the remaining ones in dublin are around the markets. But that's because the traditional docklands have been eroded and gentrified and the docklands early houses closed down due to lack of trade

    But in other port cities (e.g. Waterford & Cork) the early houses are all based along the quays

    Oh and to keep this on topic... Most of the early houses that I have visited back in my youth have had pool tables... But at 7.30 in the morning after leaving a club and a house party.... The pool playing is pretty abysmal!
