(I posted this in a thread this morning, then thought it might make a good separate thread....or not.)

Reading all the latest contributions to SGT this morning, it occurred to me that if anyone wanted to write a novel about sex-tourists and sex-pats, this and similar forums would provide all the material and characters needed for an in depth portrayal of gay life in SE Asia. We have

The reclusive disabled character
The aging conservative (comme moi)
The debauchee(s)
The poseurs / hydras / trolls
The would-be humourists
The Omniscients
The chronically critical
The compulsively argumentative
The viciously vituperative
The unique group (unlike any of the above, special in their own right)

And there are actually quite a few normal posters who could be included in the novel for the sake of contrast (in so far as “normal” can be applied to any of us).

Any group that you would immediately identify with? Or you would just opt for “normal” or “unique”? Or maybe there are some other groups that need to be added to the list?
