Christian, just this morning I had an email from an esteemed member of the board, who provided very valuable information on sights to see, how to get there and more besides. So for once, I'm a step ahead of you. I just to need to pin down the details with my friend, as his mother must come down from Si Saket. But we have lots of time. The Malaysia Hotel is booked, we can work the rest out closer to the time.

You mentioned two rooms, but there are 5 people (?): you, your friend, his wife, his parents, and I can't figure out how to distribute these 5 people in two rooms, regardless if there are 4 or 5 beds.
It's a bit like the riddle with the goat, the wolf, the cabbage and the boat.
You'll have to explain your own riddle, Christian. I booked two rooms because he's not sure if his wife can get time off work. It's no big deal to add another room. I hope his wife can join us, just so I can scratch the bitch's eyes out!

One alternative would be for her to share his parent's room - which sleeps 3. But no, if she is coming on the trip, I will book a room for myself.
