A fascinating "double interview" in today's NY Times about the personality of those who purport to be someone they're not - sglad, for example, although he's too eager to be right and show how clever he is to be much of a success at it. More generically, it's something like the old days of being "in the closet". I thoroughly recommend Spies Like Us and I look forward to reading Le Carre's soon-to-be-published A Legacy of Spies
