There is this cool, new invention called the internet, where banks post their current daily rates.
This internet thing is quite new though, so maybe you haven't heard about it yet. It's a pretty cool thing though, you should check it out.

sarcasm...lol
Lol god u guys are lovely. Yeah but sometimes the local places might have better rates?
When you say 'local places' do you mean places like The Richy, Natty Gems and Sittipongpat Exchange ? https://get4x.com/en/thailand/bangko...ilom/the-richy
That's perfect, thanks! I knew you would know ☺️
Whatever the internet tells you don't exchange currency in the airport,in small isolated locations, in the late evening and at other odd times and places that perhaps others can mention.
If you need to change from say Pounds or Euros to Dollars it sucks that you must go into Baht first but it's probably the done thing everywhere.
For a calculator try ThaiVisa convertor. http://baht.thaivisa.com/
In Bangkok try SuperRich kiosks. Many around but convenient one in Silom Complex, the floor above the SkyTrain entrance.
In Jomtien, I'm told the beauro de change next to Bamboo Bar gives good rates.
You can use
1 XE.com to find mid-market rate & establish what the price is today. http://www.xe.com/?c=THB
2 The following site compares a few options. https://daytodaydata.net
Superich is good in Bangkok (either Superich with green logo, or the Orange one).
TT have been good in Pattaya, but just keep your eyes open whilst walking around.
When traveling to other countries, I use google, which can quickly get good results.
I've done this on my phone in the departure area at DMK airport, then about 3 hours later exchanged the money a at a very good exchange rate. The last time it led me to the GET4X app which identified some very competitive options.
