S-G, I'm trying to keep forum from to be labeled "Mature content" by Google. If we will get such label then forum will lose traffic from Google. .

Except of course aside from the owner losing traffic ( advertising revenue) from a reduced google listing etc perhaps the board SHOULD be labelled as "mature content' to help avoid some youngsters sitting reading some of the topics and descriptions of meets etc that are regularly discussed here, surely it shouldn't "always" be just about money and listings ?

This topic was raised before ( by a previous mod) and the suggestion was made that we should moderate our language / discussions etc for the same reasons is case other youngsters were reading / google down graded the site and I remember saying bollicks to that then and my view hasn't really changed in that regard. This board is what it is and any attempt to soften it so it gets more traffic / revenue would to me be a backward step ( for the members but not perhaps the owner).

* I accept Moses that you are NOT trying to restrict discussion etc (yet) and as I said that was a previous Mod / owner, but the same general topic came up then and could I imagine arise again someday.

I'd think it would be pretty hard for some random to find this place. You'd need some pretty specific search terms.

The difference comes in "safe search". By default this is set to moderate, and mature listings do not show. Generally the only reason anyone would bother taking safe search off is if they're looking for porn.

So from the perspective that by keeping adult images off boosts the likelyhood that people actually looking for a forum about gay thailand finding this place, i'd say its the right approach?

It is not about advertising revenue - we haven't any paid ads here, but about future development - we need "fresh blood" to forum, but right "fresh blood" is ppl who searching for info about gay Thailand and SE Asia, not these who are looking for Asian porn... under the filter we can get only second category mostly...
