Yupins October report. Back open again Pity about those buses.

And so here we are again, back to normal and open tonight as usual at six pm.

We had a lovely holiday, six days of enjoying life with our children as it was school holidays too.
Our top meal out was with Jose at Au Bon Coin, what a super place. We cannot usually get there because our days closed coincide.
Mr Yupin says Jose's house wines are excellent too.
We also enjoyed seeing at least eleven of our favourite customers there too, on the same night! Great minds etc.

Just before our break we had the pleasure of Simone and Ken's company at Yupins, and Mr Yupin was lucky he got the photo to show you, see below.

We are open now until the first week of January which is our next break, so The high season will start in a short time and we are taking bookings for Christmas and New Year already.

Just to remind you that this year we are opening at 3pm on December the 24th and 25th, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, for those who want to have an afternoon meal instead of the evening meal.
A late Christmas Lunch is traditional for many people.

I will be able to announce two new dishes and a wine tasting 'coming soon' as they say. Just waiting for the photos to show you the new dishes, they are hanging up to dry right now.

We have noticed a big difference in the volume of traffic locally since the BKK Govt has banned a certain bus company from operations in Thailand, around 4000 buses I read somewhere, laid up because they were shipping 'zero dollar' tourists here in huge volume, and paying no taxes. Dastardly cads!
Although a few Chinese tourists who have escaped the embargo were seen to be causing some kind of chaos in a major store today…cannot be true surely.

And the weather recently has been rather exciting, lots of clouds, violent thunder, heavy rains, and lightening, to cool us down and fill the reservoirs. hooray!!
But the golf courses are a bit soggy and muddy now and there is no run on the balls, so to speak, leading to rather more strokes than usual. I am told by Mr Y. he seems to know about this.

So there you have it, Yupins is open again, the Chinese are thin on the ground, it is raining a lot, and the balls need a good scrubbing. golf, golf.

See BELOW also the link to Katie's Boomerang tv show and a photo of the troubled artist herself.

We all look forward to seeing you again soon, i want to thank you for all the hungry tums you have brought to us to repair/cure/ fill up!!
To satisfy you, that is our job.

The buses might have dried up but I suspect it's only temporary. Over the other side of Sukumvit there are some huge construction projects (roads) being built and they're not for motorbikes.
