Earthquake Activity August 23 & 24
Quake.jpg
Besides the massive quake in Italy yesterday (M6.2) that devastated Amatrice, another powerful quake has rocked central Myanmar (M6.8) that was felt in Thailand, another (M5.8) quake off the coast of Southern Sumatra in Indonesia (no tsunami threat issued).

Re: Earthquake Activity August 23 & 24
According to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...6gbf#executive the earthquake in Burma was 2016-08-24 10:34:55.000 (UTC) which is 17:34:55 time in Thailand.
Thanks to my extensive note-keeping, I could determine that I was about 50 km north of Lampang at that time (driving south) and didn't feel anything. Did anyone in Bangkok or better Chiang Mai feel something (other websites say it was felt in Bangkok?)
