Agree with lukylok. I hope the BBQ items and salad will be offered after the tastings for they will so clog the taste buds you will not get much of an impression of the wines. To compare wines, it's vital to have something bland like plain bread between tastings. I'd only go to a tasting if the food came after - or it was one of those hugely expensive dinners which I can't afford with a different wine paired to each course and tasting notes provided.
