Syphilis is rife in Thailand. I know a Thai who was infected months ago and had progressed to Stage 2 by the time he sought help. Stage 3 , even nowadays, can be very serious.
Condoms provide some protection. To both parties. We are entitled to risk our own lives but not those of others.
