I came in from Wien and had to go through a Russian police check on the way. .Not pleasant
That terrified me and until now did not realize how close to Vienna I was
It seemed at the time I had gone back a 100 years ago at that stage, when they took passengers from the bus

Why a Russian police check? Russia is far away from Slovakia?

Anyway, I also recall a terrible transfer from Wien to Bratislava with an awful bus from a station with armed guards ... but the reward was nice: A prolonged weekend in Bratislava with a new beautiful Eastern European twink every night :-)

It is a long time since I visited Bratislava but the town is not large. Where do they go. Not much night life in those days, perhaps it has improved

Guess it was 25 years ago. I am sure the guards were Russian . Met a stunning boy in Vienna and went home, stayed in a hotel. Great trip

Be careful that no Slovaks are reading this - they might get upset. I've met quite a few Czech and Slovak boys who corrected me when I referred to their countries as 'Eastern European'. They regard themselves as 'Central European', and they pointed out to me that both of their capital cities are located to the West of Stockholm :-)

Anyway, central European twinks are beautiful and Slovak and Czech boys in particular ... there's a reason why so much twink porn is produced in those two countries.

I received a long email that covered the Iron Curtain blocks between Austria, Hungary and Czech and Slovak republics . Too long to try and shorten .It appears the East/West road blocks disappeared about 1989. There were further clashes

I assume my trips were before 1989. I did not notice any reference to armed guards in Vienna, not sure where that came from

I haven't to care. I spend a lot of time in both countries, and I speak Slovak and Czech.

Over the years,I've had a few boys in Prague -all from Club Temple or the railway station. However, Bratislava had no such options.
