It's not an arrest, it's an invitation
A leading journalist from The Nation was "invited" by PM Prayuth to join him for "attitude adjustment" on Sunday, and after being detained for two days has apparently just been released. During the period when he was held Colonel Winthai Suvaree, a spokesman for the junta, told Thai journalists that Pravit was in military detention. He said in a text message that the length of PravitтАЩs detention depended on how he cooperated with authorities.
PM Prayuth said in defence of "attitude adjustment", after "inviting" two politicians who had been critical of him to join him on Friday:
тАЬIтАЩm not applying the law to those who are against me, but using the law against those who are wrong. Do you understand?тАЭ he said, adding that the politicians had been тАЬinvitedтАЭ.
