Yeah, take your pick, The Great Popular Uprising in Bangkok or The Garment Workers' Revolution in Phnom Penh.

The beaches to the south of Phnom Penh are mainly around 3 places
Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep . There was a lot of negative posts here on this forum about Sihanouk You might care to read them first.

This reference for Kep includes maps and has a lot of comments there. It is a starting point. My friends from Siem Reap holiday there several times each year.

The maps of Kampot will give you an excellent idea and I would start there

I have heard that is you include Cambodia on your international ticket, you get a good rate.It is worth while checking out before you buy.

    Hi,
Of the three areas mentioned by lonelywombat only one has proper beaches, Sihanoukville.
Sihanoukville has several beaches the nicest being Otres which is quieter and has a few places to stay. Otherwise Sokha beach is nice as it's a private beach belonging to the Sokha hotel and you don't get the brashness of Serendipity beach. Sihanoukville is a deep sea port so the sea isn't the clearest or cleanest off the town beaches.
Kep has some nice places to stay but doesn't really have a beach. The crab restaurants are justly famous and offshore there is Koh Tonsai which has a nice beach, cheap shacks and a few beach cafes, but very basic.
Kampot is a great little town set on the river about 30 mins inland from Kep. It has some terrific guest houses and good restaurants and is a fun place for a few days although quiet at night like Kep.
Finally, for the best beaches you need to head to the two Koh Rong islands about 2.5 hours offshore. Koh Rong has many white sand beaches and clear blue sea, there are now a few basic places to stay and a few more upmarket ones. The group of bungalows by the pier now have a reputation of catering to weekend ravers from Snooky so either avoid or stay during the week if you don't want to party. Koh Rong Sameolon the next door island has yellow sand and a couple of places which are pretty relaxing, my favourite is Lazy Beach.
    Cheers
