Well thank you - You are right - Life is too short to live with grudges. I made the move here to get out of the rat race in America more than ten years ago and haven't regretted that decision one bit - Thanks for the greeting -

Not sure about the thing in common bit - But life here sure here is different. Khon Kaen, of course, is no longer a small city. In fact, this place and Korat are beginning to provide a lot of good opportunities for young people. I don't think they really feel the need (many of them) to head to Bangkok when they come of age. We shall see if it continues - At some point, the bubble is likely to burst, but then we'll just have to see if it can rebound. I love being able, though, to get to my husband's village in just 90 minutes - now, that's a whole other world entirely.

Hey There Latin - Believe it or not, there are no gogo bars of any variety in KK - straight or gay. It seems that the local government has long had a policy against them, and it's worked to this point. There are places to hook up, and plenty of discos, but none that are exclusively gay. There is one disco that has one section that turns almost totally gay with hot young Thais after 11pm, but that's it. Sounds like a boring place - but I assure you - it's not. Just not any gogo bars.

Now to your money boy question - Yes - and loads of them. Khon Kaen university is here and is the largest university in Essan and I believe the 5th largest in Thailand. There are always young money boys looking to make some extra cash - They are not hard to find and they are eager to please. The level of English amongst that population is also surprisingly good, especially if you land a boy that is in the English program at KKU. A fun evening can be had out drinking and then back in bed - I'm not sure when they sleep, because they will probably end up at the disco after you say good night for the evening -

Hope that answers the question -

    Cheers -

    Jason

ok, so that kinda answers my question..a country boy no longer has to decamp all the way to BKK, he can just take a 90 minute bus ride to the nearest largish town to fuck his way into retirement.

Since Scotty thinks it is somehow relevant today, on an international forum, to quote catch phrases by an obuscure British comic, born more than 100 years ago, we can at least begin to fathom why he thinks his rare comments on gay Thailand, based upon limited personal experience from a mere decade ago, have any relevance today either.
