    To 29 January - Photographic Group Exhibition 11:00 am Chiang Mai Photographic Group Exhibition 2012 2nd Floor, Northern Village, CentralPlaza, Chiangmai Airport The Chiang Mai Photographic Group will be holding their fourth annual exhibition at Central Plaza in January and invite you to enjoy a remarkably diverse collection featuring over 100 pictures by 25 photographers from half a dozen countries now living in Chiang Mai. This yearтАЩs exhibition will be opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University on Saturday 14th January at 4:00pm and runs daily from 11:00 to 8:00pm through to 6:00pm on Sunday January 29th.

    To 1 February - Don Chedi Memorial Fair The central province of Suphan Buri, about 107 kilometers from Bangkok by car, is holding its major cultural event, тАЬDon Chedi Memorial and Red Cross Fair,тАЭ from 18th January 2012. The two-week fair takes place in the Don Chedi Memorial compound in Don Chedi district. This annual event is meant to commemorate the glorious victory of King Naresuan the Great in a traditional royal battle on elephant back. The fair includes a bazaar of One Tambon, One Product, or OTOP, products, an exhibition of public and private organizations, and many cultural performances. The highlight is a multimedia presentation on King NaresuanтАЩs heroic deeds and the history of Suphan Buri. A special show this year features a model of the route that the army of King Naresuan traveled in its campaign.

    To 2 February - тАЬNocturne, June Rain and Saffron RobesтАЭ Thep Thavonsouk - Tita gallery, Chiang Mai proudly presents you a painting exhibition of an international renown artist - Thep Thavonsouk. Thep's oil on canvas and watercolor on rice paper has been in museum and corporate collections; namely the Glenbow Museum Calgary Canada, the Singapore Museum, the Gulf Oil, Swedish Forestry, and Canadian Airlines There is nothing modern, much less contemporary about Thep's "Nocturne, June Rain and Saffron Robes" paintings which is part of their appeal. His relentless working on paintings made over several decades mostly in Calgary Canada transformed him into a master at flattering subject with luminous light and soft focus effect. In short, his paintings are minimalist of maximum beauty Thep's paintings exhibition at Tita gallery, Chiang Mai is going to run through 2nd February 2012

    Chinese New Year The celebration of the Chinese New Year remains the most important of annual festivals on the Chinese lunar calendar observed in the various regions of Thailand.     To January 29 - Nakhon Pathom Food Fair Situated in the fertile agricultural heartlands of the Central Plains, the rural landscape of Nakhon Pathom province is a mosaic of lush fields, orchards and plantations and farmland nurtured by a network of rivers, waterways and irrigation canals.     To 1 February - Don Chedi Memorial Fair The central province of Suphan Buri, about 107 kilometers from Bangkok by car, is holding its major cultural event, тАЬDon Chedi Memorial and Red Cross Fair,тАЭ from 18th January 2012. The two-week fair takes place in the Don Chedi Memorial compound in Don Chedi district. This annual event is meant to commemorate the glorious victory of King Naresuan the Great in a traditional royal battle on elephant back. The fair includes a bazaar of One Tambon, One Product, or OTOP, products, an exhibition of public and private organizations, and many cultural performances. The highlight is a multimedia presentation on King NaresuanтАЩs heroic deeds and the history of Suphan Buri. A special show this year features a model of the route that the army of King Naresuan traveled in its campaign.

    To 2 February - тАЬNocturne, June Rain and Saffron RobesтАЭ Thep Thavonsouk - Tita gallery, Chiang Mai proudly presents you a painting exhibition of an international renown artist - Thep Thavonsouk. Thep's oil on canvas and watercolor on rice paper has been in museum and corporate collections; namely the Glenbow Museum Calgary Canada, the Singapore Museum, the Gulf Oil, Swedish Forestry, and Canadian Airlines There is nothing modern, much less contemporary about Thep's "Nocturne, June Rain and Saffron Robes" paintings which is part of their appeal. His relentless working on paintings made over several decades mostly in Calgary Canada transformed him into a master at flattering subject with luminous light and soft focus effect.     To 30 April - Hat Yai Lantern Festival Venue: Hat Yai Municipality Park, Songkhla Province The lantern festival in Hat Yai is divided into 7 categories: Amazing Small World, Amazing Floating Lantern, Amazing Animal Planet, Amazing Lantern of the East, Amazing Chinese Lantern, Amazing Bird Paradise and Amazing Sculpture Lantern. The exhibits are both Thai and international. There are also cultural performances.
